Weird Electrical Stuff

I have a 2006 with 38,000 miles on it, and it has started having problems. First, about a month ago, the blower fan would SOUND like it was going like heck, but nothing came out of any vent. Meant to take to dealer, but it went away. Earlier this week I drove it for the second time that day and the radio, indicators, and warning sounds did not work, again the problem went away the next day. Now I was driving it today, and the power steering failed. Pulled over to the side of the road, restarted the tcar and steering worked, only to have it fail again a few minutes later. Another restart cured the problem, but I was wondering if anyone had heard of things like this, and if anyone was familiar with GM's policy on goodwill work, seeing as how I'm out of warranty. Thanks all. Other than this it's been a fantastic car, even drove it cross-country last November and it was a trooper.

Tap on the underhood electrical center with a little force and see if the problems come back. If so you either have bad connections or bad fuse box. Could be the ignition switch but the steering problem wouldn't be caused by a switch.

Tried it the tapping. and power steering problem came back. My regular mechanic couldn't find the problem, so I took it to the local dealer (dealer I bought it from is 3000 miles away). Came up with error code C0475, power steering motor failing. Replacing the motor is over $400.00 all told, but IF the problem reoccurs, it's another $1100.00 to replace the steering column. The other electrical stuff has never reappeared, so it does seem that the power steering motor is the culprit. I'm talking to GM customer service to see if they will goodwill the repairs, seeing as how I'm right at 3 years with the vehicle and not too far over 36,000 miles. Thanks for the help though Chevymgr.

Talked with customer care Friday, GM will cover parts, which adds up to about half of the cost, If I remember correctly.
