What the ....?
I just received one of those POS plastic door handles (drivers inside), and it came with a 16 mm hole router bit, a tube of 'super glue', and a pack of 16 metal flat washers with metal screws.
There were no instructions or explanation for the extra 'stuff'! I should have studied the ad pic's, but just thought it was neccessary installation hardware. Help!

That is the really old kit. In the beginning the solution was replace the entire door pane, then someone figured out how to drill and tap a new one in, then GM decided to offer a actual repair part. I would try to send it back or eat it and spend the $7.50 on eBay or your local GM dealer. Gm want $60 for the identical part.
This is the first that came up. Lots of others some are metal.

Are you dealing with just a broken chrome handle? If so all you need is that part, and the pin, probably. They all ship with a spring but the old one is usually fine. They all come with a pin, some with a pin retaining clip. I like the one in OldBlue’s link because it’s knurled so no clip is needed.
They also come in metal. That’s much harder to break, but if that one is abused the damage will be much harder to fix, and may require that kit that’s mystifying you.
