WHere is the RF module?

Hi, I have an 08 SS.
I left something plugged in and my battery went dead. I jumped it and drove to work, everything seemed to be ok until I went to lock it using the remote. Wouldn't lock.... I assumed it was the remote battery. I also noticed that the TPMS read -- on all 4 tires. I work at a Chevy dealer and had one of the mechanics plug in their tech II to see if it just needed to be reprogramed due to the batt being dead. They came back with a "communication error" with the RF module. Apparently there is a module that reads RF codes from the remote and the TPMS that "talks to" the BCM. It probably fried when I jumped it? Anyway, our mechanic thinks that as long as the part number matches that I can get another one from a junk yard and it should work.
Does anyone know where this module is physically located?

Does this sound legitimate?
I work at a dealership, but I get charged just like anyone else... I convinced one of the mechanic's to diagnose with their Tech II, but I need to pay moving forward for any more diagnoses/repairs.

Tell them to look up the TSB about 2008 models and the RCDLR. 08-03-16-001B.

It needs updated software from TISWEB using the SPS. So, you need to find a tech that was awake for the entire Tech2 training.

The RCDLR is under that bump in the headliner behind the mirror.
