whose Cam Actuator Solenoid s are best?
If you were in the market for these parts as maintenance replacements, which of the myriad offerings should be installed?
On my RX300, only genuine Denso brand sensors and actuator/solenoids were ever installed.
Since the car is hovering into 140,000 miles, I can only suspect that parts like these. which tend to get heat-stressed, could stand to have fresh components cycled in as a prophylactic measure.

If replacement is needed, I would spring for AC Delco. Have used others in a pinch and worked fine.
That said, I can't see replacing those solenoid valves if they are functioning properly. These parts might last the life of the car. The solenoid coils are a common failure point, but they do not have a predictable life. The valve section doesn't tend to wear out so much as it tends to fail from clogging or sticking due to neglected oil changes and/or low-grade oil.
Are you experiencing problems?
