wiper linkage/transmission

My wiper linkage broke on me the other day so I ordered a new one and it came in yesterday, installed it...and it was a bit of a pain the butt!
Anyways, its on there but for some reason, when the wipers come down to the bottom in their "resting" spot, the wipers bounce up the glass about an inch or two. Ive taken it apart a couple times, and I dont see what the issue is. Nothing is binding or touching, but they keep bouncing at the end of their cycle.
I tried looking at a previous post on here about someones "fix" of the linkage by using a nut and bolt, my setup looks the same...
any ideas?

Thanks

The timing of the wiper arms is off.

how to i fix this? I made sure the motor was in its proper resting state before attaching the linkages to it and arms.

They usually have a "park" switch in the motor. When it gets to the end of travel it clicks.

do you manually move it to this "park" position?
I had the arms off and activated the motor to back to its normal resting point. Is this not the "park" position?

sorry don but im still at a loss lol, thanks though!

The wipers go down to the park position but then goes back up a few inches when stopped
Im going to pull it apart for the 3rd time and see what im missing. Not sure why this is being so difficult

The switch is probably inside the motor. The main point that is in the installation directions that is not obvious is: do not apply power to the new motor before it is installed. My suspicion is you have to manually turn the motor a tad farther than at rest then install it.

Attaching two pictures here. The first one is mine (on white rag) and the second one is from a previous post where that person was showing how the linkage should be put back in. Mine looks exactly like it.

The believe that the timing of the Park is within the motor, and it's sensors. I'd take the new one back and explain to them what is wrong and ask for a replacement.
