Amazon now mostly builds the cost of “free” shipping into the price. Sometimes it’s still a better deal. Sometimes it isn’t.

Amazon Prime is free shipping and free returns, but you pay for the service. I compare the final price (parts shipping and tax) when comparing different sites for parts. Apples to Apples as they say. Still worth the effort to compare.

I'm OK with $3 2 day shipping.
I always compare Amazon with eBay.

Waiting for parts, I pulled it apart and found what I expected. The little furry creatures had blocked both drains by the fenders, and the Butyl seal was cracked in multiple places. Good time to replace it since it is 59 degrees out! the old one pretty much fell apart when I touched it, cleaned the old sealant out and got the new one in place. now to clean up the base of the windshield where someone dumped sealer to try to slow down water I'd guess was running inside on the floor. I think replacing the butyl seal is going to make a bigger difference. Believe it or not, I do listen to you guys and had the seal already ordered and on hand.

I don't say it enough, thanks for the words of wisdom!!

forgot to add the pics

Good thing the wipers told you time to fix a few things. That patch looks terrible! Like Phil Swift patched it with Flexseal!

I wonder if they did all of that before or after the varmints moved in? Better check over and under the cabin filter.

Pretty sre this thing was parked in a garage for a few years as the whole outside was coated with mud and looked like iit was rinsed off just before I got it. Even now it looks like it still has dirt stuck in the paint. it needs a good cleaning and some good old elbow grease to get it shiny again. First time I went through a car wash, the floor on pass side got soaked. With it parked on a bit of a downhill slant, it stayed pretty dry inside. maybe because the seal between the Butyl and the body was "OK" only one small hole that I could see besides the obvious cracks in the middle. The oval plug under it was not in place and it is now. Still waiting for the wiper linkage to show up. Man am I gonna pay for this tonight and tomorrow. My back already hurts.

and the cabin filter and housing got cleaned out too. it wasn't too bad.

OK, as soon as I posted, the parts showed up. I had to do a little thinking to get the motor and wipers positioned correctly so I didn't get under travel or over travel on the wipers. But I figured it out and it works great! Ready for the next problem to rear it's ugly head, shouldn't be too long. My guess is brakes or front suspension.... I think that is all that is left. ... except for the sunroof. but it doesn't leak when it is sealed shut!

If you do the front brakes do the SS non Brembo upgrade, you’ll be glad that you did!

As for the paint, a good wash and clay bar then wax will help , a lot!
