08' HHR SS vs. 07' S2000

My uncle has an 07' S2000 and he says it would walk all over my SS. I think the SS would be just as if not faster than the S2000. My SS has the stage 1 kit and a full 3" exhaust. I have never driven or ridden in the S2000 so I don't know what do you think??

i don't know about the acceleration and so forth, but a friend of mine had one and the handling on it was really good, it was glued to the road.

I see both of you have the TTR sway bar, is it worth the cash?

The S2000's transmission is god's gift to transmissions. It's seriously an amazing transmission. With that said, with a good launch and proper shifting it would be a good match.

I lost to my friend's S2000 by about 3 car lengths, with him going easy on launch. Albeit he was also supercharged @ 6psi putting out about 280hp, going up against my Stage 1 SS.

i don't have an SS, but the TTR sway bar is amazing. Decreased my body roll a lot, and made cornering so much better

I got in with the much reduced price group buy we did here last year, so it was even more of a worthwhile purchase. Yes, it is worth the $. Reduces body roll greatly, almost slot carish

Subject to correction if I am wrong but the Nurburgring times I saw for STOCK production cars show the SS at 8:43, the Audi S4 at 8:42, and the S2000 at 8:39. So that is 4 seconds out of almost 9 minutes for stock vehicles (hardly "walking all over your SS"=BS). Your SS with mods is faster. Of course his car is one of the best shifting cars on the planet, so he may get you there in a track side-by-side. Let him drive your car, he will be impressed by the power and handling, but hate the stock shifter. The S2000 is a wonderful car, so no disrespect intended, just the facts.....

S2000 is a beautiful car and handles very well, but is slow and as with any Honda they lack torque.
