2020 race season

So I’m getting ready for the first season after my rebuild and I’m thinking about entering street modified for the first event while I’m getting used to running slicks. Do traction bars make that big of difference? With enough seat time it should be just as competitive in super street. It looks like I’m going to need to get a roll bar made too.

Is anybody else doing any drag racing this year?

From what I've found making them is easy.
Re-enforcing the chassis connection point is recommended from different sites.
It will help with torque steer.
You might just need one on the right side due to the length of the axil.
A posi would help also if you have a stick car.
Don't know if it restricts total travel of front end for everyday street use.
To go 11.50's your going to need a lot of horsepower.
Here's a calculator to use after you make a pass

Making the power is easy, putting it to the ground in a clean pass is the tricky part. That calculator says 600whp should click off a 9.99 by the way, which might be true if we had an automatic transmission for it that isn’t junk. But yeah I have 4.17LSD F23 and a very long passenger side cv. I was thinking of swapping to an F23 intermediate shaft and then having DSS make me some equal length axles but I just wanted to get racing this season

Can you explain this more ?
What's meant by F23 intermediate shaft ?
How do you make equal length axles in the HHR ?
You will need somewhere in the neighborhood of 450 hp to go 11.5's. That's at the flywheel.

The Saturn vue with the 5 speed and 2.2 came with an intermediate shaft, so using that shaft, we just need axles. One male and one female, but DSS said they’d make me a set for $800usd. My daily driven hhr makes more than 450hp at the flywheel

OK
From what I'm understanding the intermediate shaft is an extension from the trans so now both axles are the same length.
How long is this extension ?
Does it need a support ?
Are you spelling Saturn vue correctly ?
Want to see a picture of it.
Thanks

Yes, it bolts into the block, there’s holes for them on every ecotec block

Again I'll quote Einstein.
"Now I see as the blind man picked up his hammer and saw".
That was Shaul Einstein not Albert.
