Finally going to the drag strip....

so after almost 3 years of owning my 2008 HHR SS i'm finally going to the drag strip tonight to see what it can do. my hopes aren't real high but i feel some good times are definitely possible. mods are in my signature and i'm estimating between 300-310whp & 360-370wtq. i used to have an 06 Cobalt SS/SC (non-LSD trans) with basically GM Stage 2 and bolt-ons, ended up putting down 245whp & 217wtq, and it ran consistent 13.7s @ 105 mph with crappy 2.2 60 footers. so with the weight & power differences.... my hopes are 13.5s because my HHR feels a lot faster than my Cobalt did.

any guesses at what it'll do? any suggestions or tips?

i'll be on 225/45/18 Goodyear Eagle GT tires and my HHR is a 5spd & LSD.

well just to compare numbers with the auto tranny, budget trifecta(24-25psi), hahn I/C pipes, and K&N drop in filter I had these this summer:
(on 1/8th mile) tires around 18-20 psi
Best run:
R/T:.687
60':2.16
330':5.93
594':8.49
1/8 et:9.067
1/8 mph:78.94

Best run UNTUNED auto:

R/T:.621
60':2.35
330':6.53
594':9.37
1/8th:9.995
1/8th mph: 72.00

Untuned could have been closer to 9.6-9.7 if I got a decent launch...The 9.06 was with brand new street tires. I bought the softest cheap ones I could find just to drag with...

These times are very impressive if you ask me. I never would have thought I could be so close to 8.XX's with basically just a tune... and close to the 13's (which I have never tried) in the 1/4. chevy claims the 5spd does 0-60 in 6.3 and 15.8 1/4 mile, but its wrong, not even close....might be for insurance, I dont know
