Then after a car broke and I got to sit for a good while, I finally ended up running a 13.89@101.16. Not bad for the little grocery getter. I still had the car seat in the back and all...lol. Anyway, here's the numbers:
60' 2.27 (sucks)
330 6.011
1/8 9.054
MPH 81.50
1000 11.664
1/4 13.890
MPH 101.16
Excellent times! We have similar mods save for the catless DP and the BYT tune. Now I wonder what I did wrong to run so slow? Can someone point me in BYT's direction?? I know a tune is in order now, just gotta see if BYT or Trifecta suits me best.

I am installing the trifecta dual tune this weekend to my stock SS. I will let you know how it goes.

I sent you a PM with his contact info. The way I see it you can't go wrong. Pick up HPTuners used, pay BYT his fee, load his tune, and he'll update as needed for future mods. Kind of a no brainer. I'm glad I didn't go with something else.

that's how I roll too lol. granted I have a 5spd and I'm stock otherwise. I did my own tuning before byt even had his guides to lnf tuning. I gained quite a bit after he did some tweaking and I ran 13.66@105 with a car seat and the base for the other car seat lol. the gmpp kit stock really drops power around 5800, but that's around what I shift at with my tune. I hit the 6800 rev limiter in 3rd at 107-108 and I'm out of steam that high up. I shift to 4th around the low 90s but once again, I have the stick. I'm bet your pretty happy with my helpfulness in pointing you to nick huh? I know I have beat a bolt on staged tuned css coupe with my pre-byt tune. I also know that byt and terminator2(another lnf tuner) both beat 24psi trifecta cars on hpt tunes. not knocking trifecta, they have more tables unlocked and whatnot, but there's only 1 person that tunes those, vince.

This is probably a stupid question, but what can you do with hp tuners with a custom tune that say, trifecta gave you. I am ignorant on the subject.

can't tune over the trifecta tune unless its the specific trifecta+hpt from trifecta iirc. the thing with hpt is that imo vince can't tune as well for each vehicle. yes he is an awesome programmer and has definatly unlocked more than hpt currently does. idk if he just doesn't tune as agressive timing and maf wise, he definatly has the boost higher though which might make it where he doesn't put as much timing. don't get me wrong, the trifecta tunes are still better than the stock gmpp upgrade I'm sure, and as good as or better than some tuners with hpt, but there are just some great tuners out there that have hpt. get what I mean?

Nick's an awsome dude. I didn't even have to do anything other than save the stock tune and record some logs, he just takes remote control of my laptop and does everything while I'm on the phone with him, lol. As soon as I get my wideband I'm gonna have him redo my gto too. It's currently tuned with a predator and it seems kinda flat (not sure if I'm just used to it or what) but I'm sure he'll be able to get more out of it.

Well looks like either way I go (BYT or Trifecta) I'm going to need a laptop.

So would there be any point to getting that hpt software now that I have the trifecta tune? I would like to learn more about it and be able to play with the stuff on the laptop, but I dont want to mess around and grenade my engine, lol.
