Last time I was at a drag strip was in 1976 (yeah, I am old) been playing with the Aeroforce (on a private road) and running some pretty good times even with an easy launch and slow shifts (best was 13.3 and 105 mph). Like to confirm that with a time slip (Hahn/PPC, Hahn Downpipe and Catback, Hahn InterCooler and Charge Pipes, K&N intake, rear seat and spare tire removed, 1/4 tank fuel, 93 octane, cold foggy morning). I don't want to abuse my trans or clutch, but in comp mode, with slicks, I am thinking we should be close to the magic 12 second range.

if you find a place like that, let me know, i'd love to go do that. last time i went out to Famoso for a T&T night, i was there like 3.5 hours and only got in like 2 runs. i had fun, but boy was i upset with how few runs i got in.

Lol, atleast you get some cool down time. I went for "Midnight Madness" out here at Gateway raceway and ran 3 times between 12:54am and 2:04am although that was after ALOT of people had already left, it opened at 8-9pm.

Sacramento or Bakersfield I think are your only choices in the valley, there is/was a track in Palmdale but I think it closed,, not sure though.

I pull 1.3X 60fts with a stock suspension on a 28x10.5 tire. Rule of thumb each .1 off of the 60ft is equal to roughly .2 out the back in the 1/4. His times and MPH are consistant with his 60ft, however I do agree doing it on street tires makes it questionable. MPH/HP has alot to do with dropping ET when you have wheel spin (bad 60ft). Thats why you may see a car running higher ET's with high mph. The exact oposite is the same when you have a car that hooks really well. Two cars can run similar mph but if one pulls a 1.7 vs 2.0 60ft its gonna run a much lower ET.

That being said. You can have all the power in the world but if you cant put it into the ground it useless.

PS: A 60ft may be off if you trip the 60ft beams with the rear tires. I am in the far lane. This was the Cheap Street finals from the Clash of The titans World Finals 2008 in Houston. 60ft was only a 1.51.

We own the fastest Saab in North America (we are a saab specialist) so yep we are wrong wheel drive aka FWD, so 1.7 60s on a turbo FWD is pretty good.

A few questions 08HHR SS: What track did you run at? Did you use drag radials? Were these runs done w/ Competition mode on or off? And was the trans in "D" or "I" during the runs? Those are great times, if I can match that at Englishtown in Jersey, I'll be very happy.

Great lakes Dragaway(union grove, WI) is having fun racing open to all on friday 9-11-2009. I may head up there and "Watch" the races. It starts at 5pm and goes till 10. $35 to race and 15 to watch. Last weekend there were only about 20 cars racing so I bet I could have gotten at least 10 to 15 passes in had my car not broke. The weather in Union Grove looks like it willl be great this weekend too.

If anyone is interested in heading up, I will see you there.

Let us know how it goes and post some times. We are having races here tonight as well but it's only 1/8mi in a parking lot so there is no traction and I am dead broke, so no races for me. :(
