Here are two quick videos to test out the camera mount for tonight.

really overexposed, I wasn't thinking about that, I was just seeing if the mount I rigged is "do-able".

Here's the second one to about 90.

Can't wait for tonight.
camera looks like it will do ok. I haven't used it since last time at the track so its set-up for nighttime shooting already.

Someone, mainly me, forgot to check the racing schedule. I was only able to get two runs in. on the plus side, I managed to get into the 2.0 range for sixty feet and another personal best of......... 9.06! I'll post slip later today.

Cool
What did you do to get into the 2.0 range for 60 foot tires?
or maybe the track was better prepped
What buttons are you hitting before you run the car in the video.
Any videos from the track?
I like the details in the interior
Is the steering wheel a cover?
and did you take off the other parts to paint?

Here is a post on Dragtimes.com of a supposedly stock hhr ss auto that someone else posted for comparison of on your 1/8th mile time.Boviously this car listed on dragtimes was not stock.
1/4 Mile ET: 13.842
1/4 Mile MPH: 102.020
1/8 Mile ET: 8.948
1/8 Mile MPH: 80.900
0-60 Foot ET: 2.191
VBOX 60-130 MPH: 0.000
Standing 1 Mile MPH: 0.000
Temperature F: 45.0
Density Altitude (DA): -1659 feet
Notice the air density it was awesome on their run.

Here is the air density that I found for you last night I estimated about 8pm on your run
the air was not all that great especially compared to the run above.
I had a car that ran in the twelves years back and I have seen up to 4 tenths in the quarter from a bad air day to an awesome air quality day.

Track Elevation:
1863 feet above sea level

Air Temperature:
64 degrees F

Barometric Pressure:
30.06 inches Hg

Relative Humidty:
73 %

Density Altitude: 2661 feet
Relative Density: 92.44 %

First time at the Drag Strip

Well I went down to Gateway MSP last Friday and ran my stock 2010 HHR SS, 5 speed. (Just got it on the 19th of May.) Top end not bad but I need to work on launching the car, even with launch control it seemed to bog down off the time. Below is my best run of the night.

60' 2.676
330 6.941
1/8 10.261
MPH 73.91
1000 13.092
E.T 15.444
MPH 96.43

Nice, especially for your first time. There is a bit of a launch learning curve.

Looking forward to tonight it's a little damp and in the fifties

Thanks bigjack,

I'll be happy with 9.0 tonight. Have not had time to make changes.

Gonna concentrate on reaction time tonight. See if my ass can get those under .4
