My '07 HHR at the Wilmington, OH land speed event

Hey, everyone:

So I drove to Wilmington, Ohio, this weekend and took part in the ECTA (East Coast Timing Association)'s first 2013 land-speed event (there are four). This is a timed-mile event on a 9,000-foot runway. My naturally aspirated, 2.4 '07 is bone stock except for a 93 HP Tune (I ran VP Fuels C9 gas for the event--VP was the fuel sponsor, and I wanted to support them), smoothie wheels, and those 1949 "Chevrolet" hood emblems (thanks to the members of this site who thought of those first... ). I ran in the "F/PRO" class--"F" is the engine class (2.01 to 3.00 liters), and "PRO" stands for "Production." As you'll also see, I had a "ChevyHHR.net" decal made in the car's colors...

Yesterday (Sunday) was rained out, but on Saturday, I did manage to get two passes in. On my first pass, I ran 114.80 mph through the traps, with a half-mile speed of 95.10. On my second pass (which was made into a pretty strong headwind), I ran 112.44, with a slightly faster half-mile speed of 95.79.

I've attached some photos of the timeslip, the car, and the event. I'll also be running the car at the Loring Timing Association (LTA) land-speed event in northern Maine in July, so I hope this spurs other HHR owners to come on out and represent! It's a lot of fun and the people are awesome, and if nothing else, there are a lot of unbelievably fast cars and bikes that you can salivate over...
