Post your 1/8 and or quarter mile times inside here
New tires got me this tonight....

low 9's/high 8's are in the near future. I know the R/T is terrible, but I was more focused on the perfect launch, which the method has changed with new tires. im thinking ~9.2 with the best launch.~8.9 with an engine mount? my drag buddies are saying the trap speed is impressive with the ok 60' time
the cool thing is the car stuck so much better....the stock michelines were terrible when almost bald.
I didnt do much of a burnout to warm up the tires.. next week will be a different story

One of my 1/8 to 1/4 conversions puts your time at
14.91 @ 97 mph
I am betting it was hot I know it has been in Syracuse
If u want let me know what track date and time and I will get you the air density altitude

Dunn Tire raceway park, Lancaster NY. 7/18/2012 7:37 pm....whats the air density do to the car? (stupid question)
All depends... Hot air. The molecules are much farther apart which means less density, which leads to less power. Cold air. The molecules are tightly compacted allowing more air to occupy the same space, which leads to more power. Basically you can get more air when its colder. Also, dew point is important. The higher the dew point the more hydrogen you can get into the motor, acts somewhat like meth,, at a high dew point.

another cruise night and I got a hair better
best run of the night:
r/t:1.08(bad i know)
60':2.38
330':6.33
594':8.97
1/8th:9.56
It seems like once i can get the 60' times down closer to 2.1-2.2 I'll be closer to 9.2 seconds. 60' times are killing me. i was aroun 2.6 seconds and ran in the 10.3-10.4 range(with old tires). new tires got me almost a whole second back at the end.
i ran a 9.72 earlier in the evening, and then lowered my front tire pressure from 33psi to 29psi, and thats when i ran my 9.56. I think if i lower it closer to 20psi, It may benefit me too..
But the good news is I took down 2 different mustang gt's(both 90's and 4.6l). I lost to a 3rd gt who ran a 9.38 when I ran my 9.56.

Another fantastic Friday night. I can finally report on the drag bags and motors mount after running with them now for two Weeks. My buddy reported that the car stayed completely planted and the nose never rose a but. Tourqe steer is almost completely gone now . You almost miss it, but it is much more controllable in the water box and launch.
My times used to vary by 3/10 or more. Now even on a bad launch, I'm within 1/10.
Running solid 8.9 to 9.0 consistently.
Also, a very proud moment tonight... My four year old went down the track with me tonight for the first time. He was absolutely taken in, and all the track guys were ear to ear grins watching him love it so much. Wishful thinking.... By the time I am ready for an engine swap, that 2.0 would smoke but in a jr. dragster.
