I did a 15.00 flat last summer in my SS 5spd. Stock right down to the factory tire pressure lol.

Here's my numbers from Nov 2010, first time at the track. Just have the GM Stage 1. I ran 14.5 1/4 mile @98 mph

Wow even the 1/4 miles for the SS is pretty sad.

That's all relative to what you are comparing it to. Example not much difference between a standard hhr and ford edge (I think that is what you have now) in the 1/4 mile. In our car club we have street cars running anywhere from 14,s down to 7 seconds in the quarter. But once again to one person ones times may look sad to another but you should be able to back that statement up. I think you might just have offended quite a few nice ss hhr, s on here that can easily run 13,s with mods. Not bad at all in my book. |

I didn't think it was sad especially never been to a track in my life and bad reaction time not bad at all.

14.5 will get you to the freeway going 30mph too fast. The way Rodney cares for that one, wouldn't surprise me if He only gave it 3/4 throttle. I bought mine because it looked good to me, the fact it is rather quick is a bonus. Do you know of another 2 liter station wagon that can turn heads and a 14 ? Well do you ??
Sounds like you had fun Rodney, I might have to try it this summer.:twothumbs: |

Shoot! A Ford edge huh! Personally, I'd rather have a daughter in a H***house[that would be with a W], than drive a Ford. Made in Canada to boot. "Moon"

Talk about jabbin' a beehive. I think the key here is that compared to other cars in its price range and class, the HHR SS is pretty damn good. No, it probably isn't the best drag car, but it does a lot of other stuff well. It was developed on a race track not a drag strip. Move a refrigerator, carve some curves, turn in respectable times for a 4-banger, all in one day, can do. All that and good looks too.
