Talk about jabbin' a beehive. I think the key here is that compared to other cars in its price range and class, the HHR SS is pretty damn good. No, it probably isn't the best drag car, but it does a lot of other stuff well. It was developed on a race track not a drag strip. Move a refrigerator, carve some curves, turn in respectable times for a 4-banger, all in one day, can do. All that and good looks too.

Found this video of me going 13.13 on street tires, at the end of 2010. In the 'text', he states that he saw one of my 110mph passes. He also said that I was older, I'll be 60 next year... |
Just went last night, 14.987 @ 97 mph, Nitto 850's (almost time for new tires) down pipe closed

Long time drag racer here, and I'm itching to get to the track soon to give the SS a workout.
However, keep in mind (some of you already know this) that reaction time has ZERO bearing on your overall E.T., unless you are bracket or heads up racing in a class. At your local Test-n-Tune, it won't matter. For all intent and purposes, you could sit at the tree for a full minute and it won't equate to a faster/slower E.T. I'll post up my time slip once I get there. |

Ran mine using a gtech
Ran a 16.29@89 mph. This gtech is very accurate Spinning somewhat off the line. Unfortunately this et corrected was like 16,7 I checked the 0-60 yesterday with 75 percent 87 octane there was a noticeable flat spot at about 3000 rpm It ran a 0-60 of 8.2 I am pretty sure with 93 octane it will be closer to 8 flat |
