IIRC, the 5-spd has no speed limiter, and the auto is supposedly at 150mph. i could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure i've read that on here somewhere before.

Doesn't the limiter depend on the tires that came with the car? My SS came with W-Rated tires from the factory, which I think are rated to 168 mph (270 km/h)

Old thread, but I hit 140 last night. There wasn't much left. Aerodynamic drag makes a speed limiter much over that unnecessary, stock. I won't be stock for long.

I hit 130 last week in a safe area where I was the only car on the road for miles. The passenger door was making so much wind noise I thought it was gonna pop open, so I slowed down. I have the stage kit and there was plenty of pedal left. I am certain that this car is capable of speeds over 150 as listed as the top speed.

I got you beat by 3 MPH so far and also have the stage kit. I too had lots of pedal left, only ran out of safe room with no cars around so I couldn't find out what top end really was.
I had all windows up and sunroof closed. Didn't have any really bad sounds, but thought the fishing pole antenna was going to self destruct

Your sig says your SS was built in '09 and adopted in '08.
