Hey ALL!

Since I was a kid I have wanted to enter a car at a car show. Well last Saturday I got the chance. The SS didn't win, but there were about 10,000 people all day and everyone wanted a look at my blk/red SS. The event sponsors and all the old timers were really cool and believe it or not they all were supportive considering that the newest car there beside my SS was a 96'LST Vette. I was constantly getting compliments on how my Brand new car fit right in with all these "old" muscle cars, and I have been invited to several other events over the next few months. I will be ready next time, mostly I will be adding the chrome stuff under the hood. It was just nice to be accepted into a group of people that live, breath, and eat autos, and have their adrimation! (especially when someone driving a Viper rubber-necks to get a good look)

I don't know about the rest of the country, and how the other SS owners are but, down here in florida, I have been checking Chevy has only sold a handfull of SS's around here and I have the only one in 200 mile radius of Tallahassee. I know of one in my area in Mobile,Al. It is Sun-burst Orange, i happened to pass it one day, we both turned around and talked about how we haven't seen many.

Does anyone know how to find out how many SS's are being made this year?

PS A universal KN filter at 800-900 CFM works fine, and as far as I know the car already has a cold-air injection tube, even though it is a little small in diam. Now all I need to do is put the Nitrogen Computer cooler in the air box and 50 degrees here I come

I talked with some "powers that be" and build numbers and possibly your SS's build number should be available next year.

On a sheet from the dealer I saw a reference to 5000 but that is in no way anything official. Could be more, could be less.
