Unhappy ABS code C0280

Hi. I have a 2009 hhr that has a problem with the electronic stability control. As soon as I take off normally the abs starts kicking in and eventually the engine wont go any faster. I ran my code reader on it and only came up with the ABS code C0280 stability system active for too long. I checked the wire and connectors at each hub for the speed sensors, checked to make sure fuses in fuse box were seated good, made sure the brake control module was plugged in solid, and looked for any bare or broken wires that looked like they may have something to do with the abs but found nothing. There are no check engine lights or any other warning lights coming on other than traction control light. The code reader does not pull up any other codes. I do have two or three tire pressure monitoring sensors that are bad. I was wondering if this could cause my problem. When the traction control and stability control is turned off the car does fine. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I installed the new yaw sensor today and there was no change. Traction control and stability control still comes on when at or above 20 mph. Also the ABS code C0280 is gone. No other codes stored. Not sure what to look for next.

Did you reset the new yaw sensor with a Tech2 scanner or similar?

While you are driving, do you hear any humming or howling when you go around turns and the car kind of leans on either side? Or even while you are driving straight? If so, which side?

Or have you replaced any wheel hub assemblies recently?

BTW: the TPMS has nothing to do with the ESC unless a tire is so much lower than the others that the wheel speed is affected, because you didn't notice.

Thanks for the info donbrew. No I didnt reset the yaw sensor. I dont have a TECH 2 scanner but did read that the yaw sensor mat need to be reset by a GM dealer. I have never messed with the ESC or traction control system before so I thought I would install the yaw sensor and see what happens. Sounds like I need to have it reset. Is this something that most reputable auto repair shops could do?

UWZerokoolX, I havent found any indications of a bad hub/bearing and havent replaced any. I also checked the wires from each one to see if any looked bad but didnt come up with anything. Thanks for the reply though.
