combine SS forum

I suggest that the site combine the SS forum with the General HHR forums. Although there are a lot of differences between the SS and LS/LT models, there are a lot of similarities too. Keeping the forums separate tends to miss some interesting topics unless one wants to keep checking both forums. That is a lot less efficient browsing.

Depends on your method of browsing :thumb: I browse by new posts not by forums.

I do this as well, I vote to keep them seperate.

I can't remember the last time I used the forums fromat. I always use New Posts, so I don't miss anything!

HipHotRod 02-20-2009 09:41 AM

New posts, new posts, new posts!

ChevyMgr 02-20-2009 09:42 AM

If everyone will post ONLY SS related items there isn't a problem. The SS Forum will not be merged, but rather I will watch it closer to make sure only SS related posts are made.

Personally I don't bother reading non-SS threads on here. Simply not interested. Keeping them separate is a good thing in my book.

another vote for searching by new posts :thumb:

If everyone would just simply buy a membership for a small $10(free ChevyHHR.net decal included), then everyone could use the "New Posts". Everyone could be up to date too. Support for the forum and the upkeep is essential to all that use it. :2cents:

True, but support to keep the forum going for $10 is a way to keep it alive. Many other forums have disappeared because of the costs. If the forum users register, I'm sure it won't break them to become a premium member. If they don't register the new posts aren't avaiable.
There is somewhere to request your decal if you haven't received yours yet. I received mine within 2 weeks. Something is amiss as I believe they are sent out on a monthly basis.

Premium Membership not required to use "New Posts".
08BlkSS, PM me your Name, address, and when you went premium and I will post it in admin for a :poke:

I am a paying member on most all forums I frequent. This one is an exception since I refuse to pay for a site that practices such blatant censorship. Lots of good information here thou.

I would like to hear more about this statement.

rommer 02-24-2009 06:10 AM

It would be against forum rules for me to discuss past issues and it could get me booted. Even the simple statement I made above was made with the fear of being banned but I felt strongly that it be made anyway. Sorry.

I'm new here but am a Moderator on another car forum. I must say it's pretty easy to take shots at the moderators without backing things up. I also must say I don't see a lot of moderation going on here which is the sign of a well run forum to me.

Your excuse for not speaking up is pretty lame, you can always contact the moderator via a PM and discuss the issue you think you have. I always tell the people on my forum that moderation is open for discussion off the list not on the list.

Delete is a very powerful tool!

Please don't get me wrong, this site has a ton of excellent information and I've learned as well as tried to give back were ever I can.
