Where did the pictures go ?
 

As a lot of you know, I like to post up pictures when I can. Usually it's to give a visual to someone asking a question.

So. A couple times lately I've pulled up an old thread looking for a certain picture. Sometimes my pic, other times someone elses.
The last few times I've found the post it won't have the actual picture but will show an attachment link.
Try to open the link and it will say something like "unavailable, contact administrator".

Anyone know what the issue is?

Fwiw. This has just started recently, so I'll guess 843de is the one to blame. :wink:

It looks like they have "upgraded" our software, with the typical problems. Maybe normalcy will return soon. I am sure Mike will notice the post and look into it.

Also the original site hosting the images may have gone "dark", or the owners of the images may have deleted their accounts, leading to dead image links.

Although they say that "things on the internet are forever", things are actually quite volatile.

And yes some "Tinkering" has occured with the site's software, but nothing that should have affected archived threads. But it has been duly noted for Monday's e-mail to Los Angeles.
