what is the best ground in the rear of the car.

what is the best ground in the rear of the car.
i have heard not to use the ground point near the battery but to use the bolt for one of the anchors for child safety harness. anyone else have any imput.

use the factory ground bolt or get a new terminal and go right to the battery.
Why wouldnt you want the best possible conductor point? Whoever told you that doesnt know the truth. Hogwash I say, Hogwash.
Just a fyi, I run power wire directly from my batteries to all my amps. Never had 1 issue, it keep my voltage drop to a minimum on the amps.
Copper wire designed to conduct electricity is usually better at conducting electricity than a steel car frame designed to hold a car stiff.

and I have been installing for 15 years.
On the contrary, a dirty ground on the body can cause some noise.

having more than one ground --can cause problems-- an easy way to check this is to measure the DC voltage potential between the 2 grounding points..Do this with the AMPs or electronics on-- if you measure higher than 250 millivolts -- your grounding points are not at the same potential for whatever reason--rust,paint, loose connections. I have worked with this for many years with the larger DC plasma power supplies (ranging from 50 to 1200 amps at 240VDC)-- and a ground loop issue will drive you totally insane..!!!!!

Straight to the battery with mine and no noise. Use good connections and you shouldnt have any issues. However, sometimes its not possible to use the battery (stereo deck and other electronics up front) so using Dremin2flyhi's method comes into play.
