PAL Problem

Ok, so the other day my drivers side headlight went out... So I used the parking light switch and the fog lights onthe way home..

got home turned the car off...

went inside.

fast forward to this morning, and yes dead battery. so I used a jump box to crank it up...

So the PAL with the Ipod(classic) was working fine and has been working fine for the last couple years with no problems. Push the band button to switch from radio to XM/Ipod. Push Category button to change playlist, ect...

but this morning with the dead batty. no PAL.... ipod is plugged in and is showing that its getting a charge through the PAL. but its not sending any audio... I'm not getting the Chevy logo on the ipod. I push band and it goes am to fm only. push the Cat button and I get "XM function only"

6K out of warranty

My plan is to pull the dash apart and unplug and replug it all back together...

Any other suggestions??? I will try my daughers ipod touch to see if the problem is with the ipod.

charge up the battery while disconnected , then re-connect the battery , I don't see why you would need to pull the dash apart.
