Getting XM started??

I wasn't planning on getting XM radio when we got the HHR but since we changed our minds and bought the Premiere edition it already had it.

Seems like I heard something somewhere about getting XM free for the first 3 months? Anyone know anything about that?

Trial subscription should have been activated when you signed for the car.

You might go to XM's web site and activate it there.I did not get XM with mine but I have had one(portable) for a couple of years now and love it. http://xmradio.com/

I assume you've tried to navigate to the XM stations on the radio.

They usually come out of the factory with trial mode activated, so that dealerships can use it as an additional sales tool.

When the papers are signed, your purchase date is also passed on to XM. Your XM trial subscription usually starts within a day or two of your purchase date.

Thumbs up nice avatar...

Mine was live when I picked up my HHR from the dealer.

And by the way, I am wondering how you got that nifty little slideshow as your avatar. VERY SLICK!

The dealership has to activate the three free months. They did both of ours during the final paerwork stage of the purchases. After two months you'll get a letter from xm about continuing.

I`m a Sirius brand person myself but I have heard of tremendous subscription discounts offered by XM as ones trial period ends. Call them and act like your not interested in continuing the subscription and they will give you just about anything to keep you. A friend got 50% off his monthly fee plus a sub for his second radio for free for 12 mths. Give it a shot.
