2007 Southeast Regional HHR Gathering....
Last year our Middle Tennessee HHR Car Club helped put together
a Southeastern regional HHR Event. As of today, our club has not done any serious planning on the 2007 Southeast Regional HHR Gathering.... We need your help. Please send me your ideas, a date you can attend, what you think would be a fair pricing structure, What you liked about the Biltmore Bash form last year, what you did not like, What can we do better. Even if you did not attend last year's event, PLEASE feel free to submit any ideas you might have. All ideas, thoughts, and suggestions are welcomed and encouraged. In short, help our club plan an event that you will be proud of. I would like to take your ideas into a planning committee next Tuesday evening during our next regularly scheduled club meeting. I will send out the results of our discussions on Wednesday next... As we will also need sponsors, PLEASE send any ideas for these also... PLEASE feel free to post here or send me an e-mail or PM me... |
What about something in Nashville? The Opry maybe?
Wish we could have gone to the Biltmore that looked like a lot of fun; ya know what they say, if it ain't broke don't fix it. |
Maybe if it is a Southeast Regional Meet each year it should be in a different state. This way every state could be a part, sometimes, it is to far for South Fl to attend.
Just a thought, rotate the state each year to a different state that is included in the Title. |
I always loved the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. Lots to see and do.
|
I'm in KY, but I could sure get to Gatlinburg.
|
What all states are included in the SE region? I would say somewhere in Georgia or far north Florida would be a central location? Chattanooga could be another possibility.
|
Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida
|
The Tail of the Dragon wouldn't be bad either!

Southeastern HHR Meet
Love Tenessee and Dragons Tail would be great, but how about something in the fall. Should be beautiful that time of year. Just my two cents worth.
|
Hey all,
Sorry had to work yesterday, (What a drag...) Anyway, I will be making a date poll, then we can start to finalize plans for events and locations.... It all wide open right now... The "tail seems to be a good choice also!!! |
Another cool cruise near the Dragon's Tail is the Cherohala Skyway. It is about 60 miles in length, controlled access, very scenic with overlooks, and hardly used.
|
Cheroholoa Skyway
Absolutely right Clarke33. I understand the Skyway is also a great drive and being so close to Dragon would make for a great day.
|
The Skyway looks good to me as well. However, the peak "Fall Colors" time will mean crowding and limited lodging. We will have to keep that in mind.Making reservations early will be the best way to go.I have done the Smokies and the Blue Ridge Parkway but have yet to do the Cherohala Skyway.Looks like fun. http://www.cherohala.com/
