GA trip

I'm moving to the Atlanta area (supposed to be in June) soon. The week of May 19-23 I am heading over there to check out the new office location and also check out some drive times. New office will be in Smyrna and I'm looking for homes in the Hiram/Dallas areas. I will also be doing a daily commute to Ft Gillem to work out of the current office.

Anyone have any idea what the commute from Hiram to Smyrna is? I report to work at 6:30am, so hoping it won't be too bad that time of day. The scools in those areas look better, so hoping it will be doable. And if anyone would like a mini SC/GA meet  I should have free time in the evenings.

Take as much water with you as you can! :D

Hey Solman, wish I could help but I'm on the other side of Atl. Live in Monroe and work in Duluth. Just wanted to say "Hi" and welcome to the area. They let you drink water here, but don't think about doing anything else with it. ;)

Yea, I've heard all about that. My mother lives in middle GA. That is one area that will require some getting used to.

Are you allowed to have your own well?

Yeah, a lot of houses in rural areas run strictly off of wells. It really depends on the area and county/city govt where you live on how strict they are. Mostly it's just that the state(or a large portion) is under a lawn watering ban, it's been about 8-9 months now. If you use too much water in your house you may get a letter or a fine, but I believe that's rare.
