Attention Carolina members(North and South)! 8thmileman and I are looking for interest in setting up a Meet for a Saturday in August. We're thinking about something in the Lexington area, but suggestions are welcome.

This isn't limited to Carolina folks, if you're in Tennessee, Virginia, Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio and feel like driving over/up/down to Carolina....we'll be happy to have ya.

So what do y'all think?

No date is set in stone as of yet, September is also an option after Labor Day, the DNC convention is going to make things a bit hectic here in the Piedmont over that weekend.

 

I woulda try and come down/across for this, depends on date. For some reason this year is my year to be a best man or groomsmen at a ton of weddings. So we might be in Ohio.

 

We'd love to have you come on down, stay tuned for proposed dates and stuff like that.

 

If you pick a date and I'm not in Minnesota I would like to attend.

Maybe I should just add Ohio to the states I listed, aw heck, I'm just going to add Ohio.

 

I'm up to driving out to NC for a meet depending on the date. My only suggestion for a place I posted in 8thmileman's welcome thread. I suggested maybe having it at Lake Norman State Park if anyone is interested in that. Other than that I definitely hope to see this meet get off the ground.

 

Lake Norman is still on the list of possible spots, another is at the Childress Winery, but we're open for suggestions.

Have you given any thoughts to a Spring meet-up David, something in April/May?

I think that maybe the soft response so far is that we're up against so many late Summer activities.
