Weather and Gas

Is it just me or since the weather got a little cooler here in Miami my gas mileage has improved?

I was pleasantly surprised when I found out I was getting 24.5 mpg in city driving. With the A/C on I get 21-22 mpg. My electric bill was also way down since I didn't use A/C or heat this past month. I love this time of year!

Same here, I went from about 24-25 to/from work to 27. Too bad once it get colder and I have to defrost, that will go back down.

Worst news, gas has went up about 25 cents over the last month.

The HHR is the first car where I have noticed a significant drop in mpg having the AC on vs having the AC off. I see about a 10% drop in fuel economy when running the AC

At $3+/gallon it gets expensive. But I'm enjoying the cooler Florida weather that has been around fort he past week.

You guys are lucky... our gas mileage is getting worse, we got better mileage when running the AC... Did change where we buy gas... but still the same company. Down to 24 mpg. over all...go figure

My mileage doesn't vary on the interstate with or without the A/C. It does in city driving. I'm not sure why.
