April AZ G2G
Glad to hear everyone had a good time! Our doors are always open (as you can tell from the size of our house hold!)
Jesse, hope you had a safe trip back! Hopefully you and your family will be well soon! Keep us posted as to when you are moving this way... hopefully we will have grown our local membership and can have a good size meet!
Just a little more recap on the meet in AZ with jesse.....
After leading dbaberAZ through cow trails, over mountains and through "washes", we finally arrived at Retros house.
Jesse had already arrived and greeted us as we pulled into the drive.
Had a great time talking with jesse and his friend Sal......a lot of mutual interests. Unfortunately, has family had contracted a suspected flu bug and could not make the meet with him. Also, because he was leaving for home early the next day, he had to depart after a few very quick hours. Which we all regreted.
Mandy's Dad, the Chef Extraordinare, prepared enough exquisite beef tri-tips to feed a Marine platoon, after Mandy carefully seasoned them with a special rub. I'm generally not a second helping guy, but I did go back for more .....unbelieveable.
Everyone sat around for a period of time and just talked until after dark. Then dbarberaz and I headed for the long run home.
I must say Mandy's family is one of the must enjoyable and extraordinary groups of people I have ever met. They welcome you into their home an make you "family" comfortable.
Thanks again, to Mandy/Jason, Mom and Dad, brothers and sister-in-law, horses, dogs, fish.
Hope I didn't miss anybody
.
jesse, keep us informed on your residency status....
