Arizona Good and Bad Chevrolet Dealer

I was thinking a tread like this might help avoid some pain and frustration ,
replay here with your good or bad experience with the dealers !

i will start first Gateway Chevrolet Avondale AZ.
Service department is the worst i have ever seen.
I bought my 06 HHR LT 2.4 MT there and i had the worst experience in my life.
First of all i`m an auto technician but mostly on Europeans that been said let me tell you what happened at this stupid dealer .
After i tested the car i noticed a rattle on the front under heavy braking also a weird noise coming from the brakes when comming to a stop so the dealer agreed to fix the issue for me so i bought the car now they took the dam thing in the shop and a week later they told me that was nothing wrong with the car and they put that on writing (how stupid) i took the car and on my way home i noticed the same things , then i decided to stop at another chevy dealer this time was SANDS on grand ave and i paid them to do a brake system inspection and they came back with the following result , brake rotors warped vehicle unsafe to drive. They gave me the paperwork and i decided to order some new rotors and pads , after 1 hour of fun i had them all replaced and now the car is perfect. I sent the old disks to a lab to be inspected because i intend to sue the hell out of that dealership .
THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE FOR A BIG DEALERSHIP .

That is terrible.. and I am just letting you know, you may get warned for using curse words, as this is a family friendly forum.

By all means express yourself, its your right.

How much damage is done to them so i can have the report when i will sue them

LawDog88 10-24-2011 01:28 PM

basically, analyze them for wear depth, and any warpage..

erasmmuss 10-24-2011 01:30 PM

Indeed because the dear report states perfect condition with minimal ware

You don't need a lab. Any mechanic/technician will have the gauge you need to measure lateral runout.

Yeah a lab would only be needed if there was a suspected metallurgical defect in the rotors, its a waste of time and money using a lab to confirm that the rotors were suffering from excessive lateral runout....or may have been below the discard thickness.

As a lawyer I can tell you to rethink litigation at this point, give the dealer a chance to make things right before you file a small claims suit. You may find the filing fees and assorted other costs in your state will negate any possible gains to be had.
