Donut's Anyone-Bonsai Run

Anyone up for a run to Donut Derelicts tomorrow?

I'm going to check it out again with hopefully some better weather.

The fun starts a 6am come down if you can. See you there.

Dang it, Tim! Blackie is dusty and needs a shining up and I'm hosting Easter lunch and planned my day around sleeping in until 7, then cleaning and cooking...

Should be a gorgeous weekend!

I can taste the donuts and coffee all ready. Have fun and enjoy, I'll be giving blood for another old persons blood test. Wish I was closer.

See ya down the road

Well 4 of us Todd, SuferPanel, Suburbanjunior and I managed to get up for donut's today. It was very crowded with lots of beautiful cars. Just a typical Saturday morning in SoCal. Here are a few of my favorites, I seem to be partial to mid 50's chevys.

It was a lot of fun. I ran into a family from sweden that was interested in the HHR's. very nice people let them sit in car and talked to them about it. They had heard about Donut Derelicts over in Sweden and really enjoyed all the beautiful cars there.

Great pix, Tim! Sadly, I was actually awake early enough to go
But I knew Blackie needed a good shining up so spent a good solid 2 hours Todd (UMA) would have been proud of doing a thorough cleaning.

I was so proud of my handi-work, I had Blackie out in the front of my driveway and actually saw people slow down to look (it is gorgeous here right now) and one person even pulled up and was taking pix on his camera phone!

Next time--sorry to miss that really BAD coffee, good donuts and great company!

That is a remake of a 1954 Nomad concept car. It had the 54 Vette front end on a nomad body. This car looks chopped also and the front end is a one piece tilt with an LS1 engine. Nice car but not perfect. Here is a pic of the engine along with the original car and the 2004 concept version too. I'd take any of them myself.

Angie, it would have been nice to see you even if Blackie was dusty.
