Embarcadero Car Show North 8.09.2009

Not trying to detract from Cruisin for A Cure....A coworker who belongs to a Jaguar club passed this on to me.

Hosted by the San Diego Corvette Club to benefit the Blind:
www.cocsd.com/Flyers/MainStreet2009.pdf

Held on the Embarcadero North section (south of Seaport Village)
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...,0.006212&z=17

According to the Jag guy this is the largest show of the Year for San Diego

They even have a P Class for PT Cruisers and HHRs!

Even if this is too much on the Calender for SoCAL HHRs, If we can at least stir some interest from the local SD County crowd HMMM?

Daryl, I have been wanting to do a car show in SD and this sounds pretty good to me. We have an office down there so I am thinking this would be a good PR event. Barring any unknown issues I would like to go.:thumb:

This sounds good to me, no promises, but a month away from "Cruzin" sounds good, Todd (Uma)

Hey that does sound like a fun idea Daryl, this just may be doable.

Looking at the view from above on google maps I don't think you could ask for a nicer place to have a car show. With the limited space available I think we need to get our registrations in early. So lets have a show of hands on who is going and get our registrations in right away. We are in class "P" and be sure and list your club as SoCal HHRs.:thumb:

Tim, I'm in for the show of hands.

Does that make so far 2?
1. Tim/TKHHR's Princess
2. Daryl/GRUMPEE's Toy
3. HMM?

According to the pdf file, this entry is reserved/limited to 400 applicants. So we need to send in early. I'm thinking of sending it in + the C for a C show app this weekend.

Tim, your map shows the south park entrance, I believe according to the PDF it will be the north park area which is entered via Seaport village. I double check with my co-worker if this is so. (if it is closer to the village - more food/drink choices)

I updated my map image, either way it looks like a great spot to hang out.

I'm a tentative, yes.

Oh! This is a Sunday! I can probably do a Sunday. If we can get to 10ish, I will go.
The next 3 months are really stressful for me at work & school--but seeing my peeps helps make it a little easier. :(
