I couldnt find out,, but the I did see something about having to add trailer brakes around 1500# LOL I think the Bug weighs about 1500-2500lbs LOL

I have seen that video, it has bounced around a vintage camper forum, i belong too. As far as doing it on an hhr, i believe that the roof on the hhr is even weaker, than using the uni-body with trailer hitch. A camper might just rip the roof right off the hhr like a can opener.
