So, she's fixed, and I'll tell you what the invoice says. The total shown pre-warranty was over $700, but we don't get that copy LOL. I paid nuttin, so the new warranty is over half paid for now.

I take Mitzi to Hardin Buick Pontiac GMC, and they love the car, know me by name, make good coffee, and are prompt and courteous. Their dealership had been yanked a year ago, but they kept the service department going, and now the dealership has just been reinstated. Heck of a bunch of people.

Causes are listed as:
2-3 Shift Solenoids Failed
K6556 Wiring Harness and/or solenoid 2 3 shift
1 12614970 Sensor

P0106 Map Sensor Failed
J6370 Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Replacement
98260WGMPP
2 24207236 Valve ASM
10 88861003B Dextron-6

So, is this in line with what you folks were thinking?
And, are these 2 problems unrelated or related?

Always fun to play stump the HHR gurus here!!

Glad they were able to fix it right Cheri. Totally unrelated to what I researched and posted. Interesting though, the shift sol's are trans related and certainly would cause your jerking symptom. MAF sensor is fuel/emissions related. First thought was how likely would 2 totally unrelated parts fail at once? Im sure the MAF failure would impair the driveability as well so whatyagonnado? It's fixed! hope you are feeling better as well.

Oh yeah, lovely antibiotics. So, they really are unrelated, huh...it all happened in a chain of events...amazing.

Just out of curiosity...what did you go with for an extended warranty? Like through which company?

CrazyCarKid:

gm-auto-mall.com is where we went. (Bob Pion Pontiac Buick GMC Truck) 413-5980-8377.

My hubby looked at a lot of options, but this guy offered the best that was genuine GM. You still had to have the full factory warranty running on your car to get it. I chose Major Guard, 60 mos/40000 mi, since I don't drive mine much, and chose zero deductible.
