Valve Cover Replacement Assistant

So I went ahead and took advantage of GDZhhr's closeout valve cover as I've wanted to do that for some time to Mitzkity. Now, I see the excellent writeup he's done, and I'm pretty mechanically inclined, but I may want an extra set of hands/eyes for the install if anyone has had more wrenching experience than me ;)

It's funny, I have no problem tearing apart the inside and jacking with the wires, but the engine does give me slight jitters. Not like the old tr-6 that I took half the engine off or even replacing valve cover gaskets on the old mazda 626 we had, this has electronic thingies on it ;)

Hey D,

On the other page, the one that Sindy has in her more info, there was a great how to. It's really straight forward. Undo the VVT sensors and coils, fuel rail hold down, the bolts to the VC and reverse the procedure. You can do it.

Wouldn't you rather do it at a G2G? Like Catz's garage /diner, etc.

I'd like to assist in the operation. It looks easy enough, plus its always easier to work on someone elses car.:lol:

I would like to do mine some time too.:thumb:

Hey Brother, I am there for you! but to be honest, I can be the guy that watches, and remembers how it goes back on. I always lose a bolt, or have an extra. Seriously, I can help, I am not that inept. Well, as long as Tim and Don are watching my back, LOL. You have to get that core back soon don't you? If we need to do this this weekend let me know, I am free. Todd (Uma)

OK, just finished my 3rd paper in 5 days (12 pages today!) and need a BREAK!

I'm free Saturday after 3 and Sunday! What can I bring?! Carne asada? Carnitas? Frijoles puercos? I make a mean potato salad too if you want something, not ethnic/spicy.

I promise not to get lost this time! ;)

@ngelita...

And Cheri's the one offering her hacienda! :lol:

Ya gotta understand mr. uma, the best way for me to de-stress is to cook. And living alone, I have no reason to do so. so keeping Blackie clean is what I do now...sigh...:red:

It won't be shipped till monday, so a bbq would be great and all, but there wouldn't be any wrenching :)
