08 hhr ss mass air flow issues
Hello everyone, we've been dealing with this mass air flow issue for about a year now. She's been to the dealer for the same code issue/check engine light at least 3 times now. It's under the extended warranty as we purchased used in 2013 with 34000 miles. Now 69000. Dealer has changed the sensor, wiring and connector as recent as last Wednesday. Light came on AGAIN this am and lost all boost AGAIN. waiting to hear from the dealership on Monday, but was just wondering if anyone's had this issue so reaccuring? What about a lemon law for the same issue constantly even after repair? Sorry for the lengthy post, my first time posting. I have read over this forum in the past and it has been very helpful. Thank you in advance.

x2 what he said. Without the code we have no idea what you are talking about - sorry, we need specifics. A verbal description of the code is not usable either - we need the actual error code - ie P0303.
Update with the code and we'll see what advice we can give you. :)
You can also enter the error code in the search box at the top of the page which might get you started on the diagnosis.

My SS exhibited Code PO 0236 2 years ago when it was right at the warrantee expiration.
Wouldn't develop over 5 PSI boost.
Yeah, the splices were already soldered and shrink tubed. The lower sensor was cleared from the AC compressor obstruction so these issues were ruled out.
I had the Turbo Upgrade Kit installed by this particular dealer when the car was about a year old had around 7k mi on the odo.
Took it to this dealer and they replaced upper 3 bar MAP sensor. I didn't have to pay the bill, but it was around $250 (ripoff!). Probably went to GM.
Car now has just under 48k mi. on the odo. I had it (code) come back once over last summer. I simply cleaned it off and it's fine. If it needs to be replaced ever again now that the car is out of warrantee, I'd just get it from Crate Engine at around 18 bucks and spend 5 minutes to replace it rather than have the dealer do it for $250.
