Technicians are not parts guys. I have been surprised at what they stock. You will never know if you don't try. Why think that connector was used on one car in one year?
I would saunter into the local GM parts department with the part in hand and inquire.

My local Chevy parts department is awesome. I’ll look stuff up for you with or without your VIN, print out exploded views, tell you part numbers, maybe even tell you what dealer three states away has it in stock.

that's what they're supposed to do... some guys get squirrely about giving info because then people go buy it online and they're worried about their commission...
and/or higher ups (aka corporate) does not want them telling them which competitor has it in stock

but I always gave my customers any info I could, I started at a family owned dealer, made me nauseous when I went to a corporate shady-as-s#!t dealer, didn't stick around there long

I am still awaiting the connector as it is sending from China.

I will post once I get and can give some insights if it works.

Bingo THIS is the correct connector and it comes with 5 connectors and accessories. It took about 1-1.5 months to get in to USA.

Here is a picture of it installed from under the car:

You could sell your extras in our classifieds!

Here's a screenshot in case the web page disappears, there are 3 part numbers given if someone would want to Google.

Glad you got it fixed, too bad it took so long.

I google just the first number and got this from the same source. What struck me is the pricing.
