antifreeze all over

antifreeze all over

lost my antifreeze the other day,didnt see anything on ground but temp gauge pegged so i pulled over and added a gallon got home ant s dripping.haveing too many mods to worry about warrenty,i took it apart and the left lower hose had rubbed through on a casting boss on the block.warrenty for sure but now shes all apart in my garage and no hose till friday.tight getting at it all for sure

Perhaps you could cut a piece of the old hose as a collar, to protect the new hose in that area..

I would often find molded hoses not available for some new cars and would take the old hose to the parts store and match it up to one that would work and just cut it to size.

It happened on my Moms car once and the guy said he had no hose. I asked to look found a hose asked for something to cut it and showed him he had a hose.

Often many hoses are similar in size and shape just different in length.

Something to keep in mind if you are stuck.

Now there are some hoses that you can't just match too.

the rub through was on the inside top of the very lowest hose.there is a plastic tee and it was just below that.a small boss sticking out .I am going to grind it off and put a collar protector on it in that area
