Red face Ball Joint pinch bolt question

I just sourced and replaced new knuckles finally on my 2008 SS and was just curious as mine had mismatched bolts. Does anyone know if the pinch bolts are the same as the base cobalt and hhr's, or happen to have a photo of theirs? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I was able to find and source those bolts but just wanted to be sure before I daily drive it again this winter. After almost a year of rebuilding it after a minor crash, I am so excited to enjoy the fruits of my labor but want to play it safe!

Where did you source the SS knuckles from? If it was an EBay parts yard you might have received the wrong parts, SS is different from LS/LT .

The HHR SS uses a 69.9mm long front lower ball joint pinch bolt, which has a thread size of M10x1.5. 10.9

ZZP is the only vendor I could find for SS steering knuckles and ball joints. OTTP for ball joints

Thank you so much! Just what I needed, I was able to get the only set in Michigan off a really clean bad motor 2008 ss at a junkyard not too far from me (and only 92$ for the pair.) ZZP was my next option but luckily the knuckles were perfect! The previous owner had used the wrong size ball joint and overtightened the heck out of them so when I needed the new ball joints I was unable to reuse the old knuckles.

No that’s too weak for a suspension /steering bolt. If the dismentions are correct, you can use it because it is only a pinch bolt and torque is only 37 ft lbs .

Okay awesome, thanks again! I went to the gas station to test it out and got the toe pretty straight. It feels perfect again! One more HHR on the road :)
