Exclamation BCM problem? Source for parts?

Traction Control, Electronic Stability Control and Automatic Brake System are not functioning on my 2008 SS. My mechanic says he thinks its the EBCM but that the part is unavailable. Ideas? Advice?

You know that little button on the dash that can turn those things off ? Maybe it’s not working correctly. I would try a reboot of the systems. ( disconnecting the battery. Negative terminal only for safety)

What codes did your mechanic get to think it's the module?

The traction control button doesn't turn off the ABS does it? I get no ABS feedback on the pedal locking up on slippery roads. I get a rotating message SRV ESC; SRV Traction; SRV Brake; ESC off etc. but it all goes away when I turn car off and on. Mechanic says no codes and says sensors appear to be signaling. Says there is a code in "history" that says "EBCM fault"

Mechanic says no codes except a "EBCM fault" in "history." He says pump is working and sensors appear to be signaling. When I lock up the wheels on slippery road I get no ABS feedback and I get a rotating message (see above). The messages first came up during a run up a steep icy hill where the ETC was very active switch back and forth between wheels on various patches of dirt road, sanded ice and fresh unsanded ice. The second time was during mile long run on a slimy deeply rutted dirt road when the ETC either shut off or was not working when I hit the mud. But I found that the messages also start after a simple skid.

I don't think the button disables ABS or ESC. As far as I know, it just disables Traction Control.

Read your Owners Manual. On the SS you can turn off the TC and the ESC. Turning off the ESC will also affect the ABS to some degree. Not sure exactly how much though.

You describe correctly functioning Traction Control and ESC. You should turn them OFF on slippery roads.
ABS will only activate if the wheels are spinning at different speeds while braking; like ice under 1 or 2 wheels. If all 4 lock up there is no need for ABS.
Have the air bags ever deployed?

I typically have had to turn off TC only in deep snow and mud but never had the service messages before last year after long runs necessarily at speed to keep up momentum on slippery ground. I have felt that abs was not working since then and did not get abs feedback on recent snow/ice which did not seem normal. But I had worn tires until this fall. It is supposed to snow here tomorrow so I will get another chance to test. The car is 15 years and 140 miles young. I've owned it for 13 years. I will update the thread next week.

The historic code is from the last time the warning popped up. What is the number?
The BodyControlModule has nothing to do with anything you have cited.
The ElectronicBrakeControlModule controls all 3 with input from the lateral acceleration sensor, the wheel sensors, the steering wheel angle sensor.
If the EBCM was malfunctioning there would be a code.
Every time my ESC activated there was a warning on the dash and the TC light lit momentarily.
