Hi, 2008 HHRSS 98,000 miles. Engine light came on right after start up. When we were getting on the freeway boast gauge was hardly showing any boast at all and HHR was extremly slow. . Later in the day the gauge showed a little boast but not showing or accelerating how it should. I did not see any codes shown. Before I take the SS in I was hoping to have a clue on what it might be before I commit to any work being done. I do not want the mechanics to practice on our SS. Thanks a million!

There could be a code that is not showing, need a code reader to check it.

 

Still laughing about the "boast" gauge.

Boost would be the correct term.

As far as the problem. If you had a CEL come on, it should have stored a code. What code reader did you use? Maybe you need to try another reader. Without the code number, it would just be a general guess as to what could be the problem.
