My boost keeps shutting down when ever I go to pass someone. She will downshift and run to the top of the gear, then shut down. How do I fix this? What is causing it? Ugggg...

Last week I had a problem with my lower TMAP sensor/connectors/harness causing the check engine light to come on. The symptom I had was that the boost was not working and the car was running in a "limp" mode, no power to pass or accelerate but yet I was able to drive the 110 miles to get back home on the interstate going 80! The dealer scanned and wound up changing the lower pigtail harness, 4 connectors and the TMAP sensor that were installed almost a year ago as part of the Power Upgrade (Stage 1 mod) that was done. The car works great again now. May not be the same thing you are experiencing as you did not mention the check engine light. Mine is a 2010 5 spd. Yours sounds like it may be something else in your turbo control circuit, the dealer should be able to fix you up pretty quickly. Good luck.

Check for a stored code P0236
It will not always throw a CEL but gets stored. Its a $18 fix. Get a new map sensor and swap it

For the 3 bar map? I thought they were more expensive than that.

Basic information is needed. Do you have the turbo upgrade kit? Do you know what codes are being set?

Yep if there is an upgrade or not it can be a whole different set of things to check.

I dont have any upgrades, and the check engine light does come on. When the problem occurs, I erase the codes and it will fix it for a while. Ive been to 4 dealers, they cant figure it out.

What code? I assume you are not removing it before you take it to the dealer?

True. I got an early release from the asylum myself.
