I pulled my MAF out and it didn't have any oil on it.

So let me get this straight. If I get a dead horse installed in my intake, I have to tune for it?

cel code solved

Bought the zzp intake and installed it and had a bad idle in wanky rev. so I installed a screen before the maf and problem solved. I have the HP software but have yet to do a tune. the car ran like it was new again definitely happy for the purchase just need to tune to get the most from the new intake.
perhaps not anymore horsepower but a much crisper throttle response

I'm a new SS owner and educating myself on these cars. Coming from a Honda background- my mind is blown. With VTEC engines it's bolt-it-on enjoy the gains, chip the ECU to fine tune heavily modded cars. Not saying one is better than the other- just different. The idea of tuning the computer and unlocking 40+hp is appealing. Bolting on an intake to see a CEL is not, good thing I'm doing my homework first. Sounds like the best thing to do is install an intake and do the tune at the same time to work in harmony, or just do the tune. Glad to have experienced enthusiasts to learn from.

Still getting used to trivial differences like no off switch for the dome light, gas cap on the right side, and a constantly hot power point. But I dig the way it looks, the turbo engine is a delight, and w/ just a few suspension mods it could be a real canyon carver. My first American car. Cheers guys!
