I am working on getting the codes from the dealer. Need some time.

Most refer to it as the GMTU (GM Turbo Upgrade) or the Stage 1 kit.
Both names are used by GM in the installation instructions.

Honestly, I've never heard it called "boost kit".

I like dealers like a fresh pair of wet socks...

When I asked mine to kindly recalibrate the wife's steering, they accepted. Of course it would be 2 or 3 hours and 150+. Upon opening the hood, the service manager calls me over. "Uh, what exactly have you done to this car..." I rattled everything off, I explained I didn't have a tech 2 to perform the recalibration. He kindly informed me that in order to proceed they'd have to reflash the ECM back to stock. LMAO! Just give me my keys back buddy!

First and last dealership experience.

That is kind of what I went through to get a dealer to install the "boost" kit . Then the moron uses my rocker as a foot rest while he was doing the reflash.

When I change motors I'll have to figure an alternate way to do the crank re-learn even if I have to buy a used tech 2.

That can be done with other computers, like SnapOn, Harbor Freight has one, etc.
