If the plastic is cracked or the rubber perhaps this would be a temporary fix to confirm that caused the problem. The order the part, perhaps someone has one in the spare parts area of their garage.

It does not connect to the TB, that is the turbocharger on the other end of the duct.

This duct is not subject to positive pressure(boost), so I would try patching it, or covering it with plastic, a piece of rubber hose, duct tape.

Maybe a picture would help us make a more specific suggestion

EDIT: if it's in the flexible, accordion part of the duct, it will be very difficult to repair. Probably impossible if on the bottom of the duct, where oil from the PCV system collects..
Ahhh, I could not a get look down there. Just getting my arm in there was a PITA. You hit the nail on the head, the accordion part of it where it connects directly to the turbo is where a chunk of rubber is missing.

Just my luck!

I wish it were that easy. A 2" x 0.5" strip of rubber is missing, like someone took a bite out of it. I tightened the clamp and it seems to be holding and there is no clamp to turbocharger meeting. There is a little bit of rubber left to allow the clamp to hold tightly. It looks like I may have to break down and spend the dough?

Try auto parts recyclers(wrecking yards, pull-a-part), look in our classified ads, or try Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market

This is the stock intake pipe from air box to turbo. Are you talking about the bottom flex joint ?

If the split is there I have used this tape for flex joint repairs.
Bought it at Home Depot.

Area must be clean and dry. Pull tape as you wrap it. It sticks to itself and very flexible.
Your hands should be free of oil and grease also.
The instructions do say wait 24 hours after wrapping to let the tape bond completely.
Read up on this stuff.

Yes. There is a strip of rubber missing and only half of the clamp has rubber under it before clamping to the turbo.

I will research this product. This may be the fix I need?

Thanks

OR you can buy something like this.
I just measured mine and the rubber flex is 2" long and a tube size of 2 1/2"
Cut the old piece off, use a new hose clamp on hard plastic tube and use your original one that went to the turbo.
