Coolant missing

Anyone having a problem with coolant going away and no signs of a leak, have had it at the dealer know for 3 days under pressure for over 24 hrs. & lost only 2 psi., it's just a real slow leak, could it possibly going strait out the exhaust.:confused::confused:

this happened to me also, while looking under the hood one day after an oil change i noticed the hose that goes to my overflow tank from the radiator was bent at a 90 degree angle blocking any thing from going to the overflow or radiator. the bend was butted up against the radiator shroud which looks like that's what caused it, almost like a design flaw. they rerouted and replaced it with a stronger hose and since i have had no problems with low coolant.

Thanks I'll talk to them.

Loosing coolant

Every time I drive for about 20 miles or so, I find that my coolant recovery tank is 1/2" lower after the engines totally cools down. I removed the recovery tank and checked it for leaks. Replaced the coolant recovery clamps, and both clamps on the middle radiator cap connection.
I cannot smell any coolant or see any dripping. I park with a piece of cardboard under the car, and not drips.
Has anyone had problems with a radiator cap leaking? Or some hoses in the back side of the engine near the firewall?
Mine is an 08 SS with 41,000 miles.

What's the oil on the dipstick look like ?

I had a super slow leak at the heater core connections through the firewall.

I ended up having to use worm clamps to seal it up, the GM clamps wouldn't hold closed tight enough under boost and I would get a super slow leak.

The only way I knew I had a leak is there was some down on the rear Motor mount bolt area when I changed my DP out.

If you are positive all hoses are sealed up tight, you could have a possible porous block. There has been a few LNF's with it.

Sleeper,
The oil dipstick has only light golden colored oil on it. No white paste etc present. Same for the oil fill cap, clean.

HHRSSouth,
I am going to re-inspect the heater hoses and the hoses around the thermostat housing. My goal is te eleminate any weak hose clamps before having the problem evaluated by a dealer.
