Wanna start off by saying thank you for taking the time to read this and any help is greatly appreciated. I have a 2008 SS and ran into a overheating issue. Through the forums I was able to figure out it was the fan module not working so I went ahead and pulled it out and found out the main issue. It was the plug connected to it, turns out it burnt out horribly. I already ordered a new full fan just to be safe in that end but I wanted to know where I can order the wire that connects to it. I haven't been able to find anything online, so anything to point me in the right direction is extremely helpful. Again thank you for taking the time reading this and putting any input you can. Here are some pictures of what plug in wire I'm talking about. Again thanks.

Might have to go to a pick your parts salvage yard to find one to "splice" in the existing harness. I have had to do that with several projects in the past.

 

That connector looks identical to the one that GM used in the Chevy Caprice / Chevy SS Sedan for their cooling fan control module. That connector in my 2014 Chevy Caprice was only slightly melted. I found a "good" connector in a local wrecking yard and I spliced it into the wiring harness. That may be your best option as well.

This is the info I found for that connector as used in the Chevy Caprice/SS:

OEM Connector: 7283-8496-30 (Yazaki)
Service Connector: 19115616
Description: 4-Way F Mixed Series, Sealed (BK)

I was never able to find it from a GM dealership, but on mouser.com it is listed as available. mouser.com listing for Yazaki connector
It's not clear whether it's just the plastic connector or if it includes the terminal connectors. Most often it's just the plastic connector.

I created a video on my YouTube channel showing the replacement of that connector in my 2014 Caprice. The the video's thumbnail picture, you can see the "melted" unit vs the one I obtained from a local wrecking yard.

 

Looks like a winner. Once you fix it, don’t assume your troubles are over. Hopefully it was just high resistance due to corrosion that made the heat. But a failing fan motor can contribute by causing high current draw. Make sure the fan spins freely and has all its blades, and keep an eye on things for awhile.

The GM part number is 19115593. This is a connector with a pigtail attached.

GMpartsdirect has it for $52.
