Dirt in camshaft solenoid?

I got a code related to this and swapped the exhaust solenoid. It was plugged like this. The intake was the same. I swapped the intake a week after and then checked the exhaust while I was in there. And there was a little bit of dirt or something again. Is this just remaining dirt in that area still needing to cycle through? Where do the solendoids get oil from? No dirt in oil pan or oil filter. This was the first time I swapped these since I got the car and possibly the first time in the life of the vehicle.

Also, anything else I should check/swap that could be related to these?

Just dirty oil.

How many oil pans are on your car?

P0011/P0014 mean clogged screen
P0010/P0013 means electrical troubles

Looks like oil sludge. The oil was either run too long between changes, the car has run hot “baking” the oil or, if it’s a turbo car, a failing turbo can cook the oil also. Pull the valve cover and look for sludge there. It likes to settle on the top of the cylinder head.

Hmm yeah i got p0014 and the code cleared itself after I installed the exhaust solenoid but came back a week later even with a lot less crap in the screen. Idk how it's dirty. Ive changed it 5 times lol. Must be from previous owner

all 3 of those things happened I think.

Valve cover had sludge when I took it off. Car overheated due to failed water pump/no coolant, and I don't think they changed the oil...but hard to say that one. The turbo was also failing. I wiped the sludge off with a plastic thing and q tips and put it back on. The sludge turned into oil easily in my fingers, so I figured it wasn't too bad inside the engine. Been running ok since then. I did a few oil changes back to back after that. No metal in oil when I drained it.
