DV noise when shifting

Hi guys, I've had a number of turbo cars before (GTI, S4, 944T, Regal T), but I've not had any where the DV gave an audible whoosh like my SS does after a shift. I've quickly checked and it appears to be a stock valve with the white plastic cover. My car is running a custom tune with about 300whp according to the previous owner. Is this normal for a chipped SS with a stock valve?

Also, not throwing any codes, but my boost does drop to nothing during shifts which makes me think the valve isn't working right.

Probably should have specified, dv = diverter valve which is more of a vw/audi term, most here seem to call it a bypass valve.

The very first thing to check is the "flex pipe", the accordion bit of the exhaust downpipe. They crack and cause a wide variety of sounds and symptoms.

After that, I am of no help on an SS.

It's definitely not a flex pipe issue. The noise is only heard when you get off the gas after boosting or when you shift.

If the car has an aftermarket intake or the lid is removed from the stock airbox you will hear the whoosh from the BPV(by-pass valve). This sound is normal because the BPV is so close to the air inlet.
