Engine removal...

How does it come out? Through the bottom or out the hood? Also, is there a book out there on how to do this?

Like a lot of modern cars, the most common way is to put the car on a hoist, undo the front subframe, and lift the car off the engine.

If it's a complete assembly All-Data says 10.7 hours. That's pulling a complete out and putting a complete in. This could vary depending on what parts come on the engine. If parts must be transferred from the old to the new it's 13.7 or more. We did a rebuilt swap for 14.0 a year or so ago. That's times $110 per hour.
